I have no idea what day it is.

Every day is a work day for me, so who the heck knows what day it is today? Who even cares? lol. I am in a mood today. I shut off my cell and something tells me I will have some interesting messages when I turn it on in the morning. I just need a break from the damn phone. lol

Meanwhile, I thought you (whoever) would enjoy reading a little story. I have a friend whom I've know for 25 years, probably longer. And as you all know, I was out of work for a bit. Well, this friend of mine just so happened to have a job for me at the same time I got hired on at New Job. Now, I am not one to pass up an opportunity without looking into it and weighing the pros and cons. So I met with him at his office to discuss the opportunity.

I apologize because I have to make fun of him a little to give you the hilarity (word?) of this story.

So, I'm sitting in his office and he's telling me about what they needed. In an effort to protect the innocent, I will not be reiterating the subject matter, but you will get the point.

He said, "Now Cindie, we really need someone to come in and do this job because, A. We are growing our business and plan to hire XXXX people by the end of 2010. Our marketing plan is solid because, A. We've got a strong team now. We really want our business to take off and we feel you would be a great asset to our organization. We feel you have, A. The dedication we are looking for. You are a hard worker and we will also be able to provide growth opportunities for you here at our company. Once our clients start to see our marketing materials they are going to, A. Be calling in and wanting more information. This is where we can really use your help to help us organize and prioritize these requests..."

Ok, I think that is enough to give you the gist. Here is what I was dying to know...WHAT IS B??????????? When someone says "A" don't they usually follow it up with "B"? This meeting was almost 2 months ago and I still want to know what B was supposed to be. ;-)

I'm just sayin'.

Awwww...if my pal is reading this...don't be offended. I just thought it was funny. You know you're my "Little Buddy". LOL

I'm in good company!

So we started Week 5 of training at New Job yesterday. I figured out that I'm getting really comfortable in our little class and I'm nervous about going to the floor and everything changing. I've made some really awesome friends in the class and I just really hope we all stay that way as we move on in our careers at the company.

Ya, so I'm not one for change. At least not constant change which is what I've been experiencing for the past 7 months. I do get attached to my environment rather quickly so when it starts to be disturbed I don't like it. But I do know that I am resilient and will adjust to the next change and the one after that and so on. Such is life. I just don't have to like it sometimes! :-)

I've had requests for Bobo to make an appearance at New Job. I am concerned that if I do bring him to class that my peeps there might not really appreciate Bobo for who he is. LOL. I'll keep ya posted on that one. Who is Bobo??? I'll let someone who meets him today comment on this post and tell you about Bobo. Ok, Mr. Fresh Prince of OC?

So remember to stay on your call sequencing model and never miss a step. Always keep your focus on the customer and listen to what they are telling you. I mean, REALLY listen to your customer. You want to achieve FCR so never stray from the steps. NEVER. If someone tries to get you to go off track, phone a friend. They will help you find your way back. Friends are awesome.

And a Happy Freaking Valentine's Day to you!

I have to say that I am damn glad that I have this forum in which to rant and rave. The normal person would use a private journal to document their thoughts and feelings, but I have this public forum in which to vent and I have to say it's pretty therapeutic.  I'm sure if you know me, you already know that I march to my own beat or whatever that saying is and I have my own way of dealing and doing.

Well...DAMN IT! 37 years on this earth (almost) and I STILL don't feel like I've been dealt a fair hand. I'm not one for living in the "unknown" with out a lick of stability. Like I've said before, I am the type of person who needs a baseline of consistency and then from there I embrace spontaneity to the max. The baseline of consistency I need is a home (and I mean not moving every freaking year like I have been for the past 15 years), a career and family & friends (which would be amazing to include my Prince Charming).  If any of those three factors are disturbed everything else goes off balance and leads me to writing a post like this one! Is it really too much to ask to have all three factors to be balanced???????????????????????????????????  I find my self getting all three up and running and then BAM! One of them gets disturbed and messes everything up. I'm tired of it and I give up. I guess I have to reevaluate what contributes to my baseline balance and go from there. Valentine's Day is a hell of a day for these things to go off balance. So, that fire I had started is now a smoldering mess.

It's a good thing I work 7 days a week and don't have too much time on my hands to think about this crap.Although, up until now it had been staring at me directly but those stares are gone now. I could really kick myself for believing it was all going to work out for me this time. Movin' on...

I hope you lovely readers are not experiencing sadness or anguish today and that your V Day is filled with love and happiness...and for me, better luck next year.

As Fergie so eloquently puts it, "Big girls don't cry."

Sleepy but still posting...

Have you ever gone to the gym after work and realized you forgot your socks? what did you do or would you do in that situation? I sure as heck was not going to go home just for a pair of socks. So, I went sock-commando. Was not very pleasant. Let's just say my tennies are currently filled with baby powder. ;-)

I put out a fire a couple of weeks ago and started a new one. It's been a-blazin'! Although sometimes I think it might be losing momentum, but it's always hard to tell with a new fire. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the heat and let the fire lead me. Sounds good, ya?

Good night, all.

Lions and Tiger and...Jager Bombs??? Oh my!

I know at least one of you was hoping I was going to say, "Lions and Tigers and COUGARS"...lol...but I am sorry to say I have no Cougar stories. Too much drama for your mama and no Cougar clubs were hit up last night. INSTEAD there were Jager Bombs and scenes from the movie, "How to lose a guy in 10 Days". If I remember correctly, I was telling someone last night what our child would be named. HUH??? I said, "WHAT?". I can name that tune in one note..."How to lose a guy in ONE day". LMAO. Good times.

Ok, well I'm off to see the Wizard...oh wait, wrong movie, wrong place. I'm off to sell...yep, that's right, you guessed it. Suits. I hope there aren't any naked manikins today. I bet I could even scare one of those off. LOL.

Happy Super Bowl Day!

What if I dressed Oreo up as a dog?

I could have benefitted from that information...A WEEK AGO!

So last Sunday night I was puking my guts out and wanted to go to the hospital to get some of the good stuff. ;) I thought I had food poisoning from some soup I had eaten for dinner. I felt like crap for two days. Yesterday, I go to Tutoring job and the girls start telling me how everyone in their house threw up like a chain reaction over a course of a few days. I asked them, "Uh, how long ago was this?" and they told me it was last weekend BEFORE and AFTER I had been there. So I didn't have food poisoning, I had the flu!!!!  LMAO. They could have told me last weekend that the kids were sick!!! Oh well, they are lucky I love them!

Great night with DP. Her beau is a crack up and I spent half of the night trying to understand what he was saying to me since he speaks mostly Spanish. But I do like a challenge, so that was fun!!!
