I remembered what was really so funny about Target last night. It is a two-story Target (with the shopping cart escalators that I love) and I was going down the escalator and forgot where I was. I started greeting people as I walked past them like I do at Retail Job. HAHAHHAHAH!!!! Habits do form fast!!! LMAO.

My shopping trip
Ok...so...I have not been in a store other than Retail Job or the grocery store in the past few months. I went to Target tonight after New Job. First of all, I walked all over that store...both levels...before I finally found where they have their candles. Not in a very logical place. Ok, fine. I get my candles. Now it was time to head to the check out. There was one station open and why is it that some families cart EVERYONE with them on their Target trip? I'm talking Grandma, Mom, Aunt, Great Grandma, Uncle, Grandpa, the Sister-in-law and everyone's kids and maybe even their next door neighbor...ah damn, this story really isn't that funny. Nevermind. lol
Here's a pic for you...

Sense of Humor
I heard this at New Job and thought it was so damn funny I had to pass it on to my small audience of blog readers. This is a customer service rep and a customer on a telephone call.
Customer: "Do I look like I have the word STUPID written across my forehead????"
CSR: "I don't know, Sir, I cannot see your forehead."
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
True Story.
Ok, question. Do you know me??? I mean, really, do you? If you do, would you agree that I am a fan of things that are funny? I've had people tell me that my facial expressions alone are funny. Do you have any funny experiences with me that you would like to share? Please comment if you do. Or if you want to send it to me only, email cindie@mscindie.com. I should get those. I'm realizing that some people really lack a sense of humor and take things too seriously some times.
With all that said, I think I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I started my fire building business again even after I said I was out of that business. Well, foolish me did start one but I think the tornado last week sucked the life out of it. So, once again, no fire. And damn it. I like to have fires every night!!!! Whatever. LOL.
I spent Sunday night to Monday morning puking my brains out. I think it was food poisoning from some Pea Soup that I ate. It exhausted me and I was usless all day yesterday. I made it through New Job today and even a mild workout at the gym. Woohoo. With a good night's sleep tonight, I should be back to normal tomorrow. Whatever normal is for me...
Have you ever seen me mad?.....
Party life??? I freaking work 7 days a week.

Have you ever...
...well, before I ask you my "have you ever" question, I just want to say that I almost died at the gym today. Ok, not really. BUT...when I am working out really hard on the elliptical and a whiff of someone's fart crosses my breathing area, it is NOT GOOD. I am already gasping for air. I don't need to be breathing stinky fart air!!!
Have you ever dressed a manikin? Well, today I had to dress one for the first time. When I got to Retail Job, I noticed that one of the manikins was shirtless. My supervisor told me to put something on him. OK. LMAO. So I go find a shirt (which ended up being too big). So I get this shirt on the manikin and realize I have to take it off. Can I tell you how AWKWARD it felt to undress the manikin? There I am unbuttoning his shirt. I felt like he and I needed to be doing this in private. LMAO. So I find the right size shirt and I get it on the guy. Oh, and he is headless, by the way. I button him up and then realize I need to tuck the shirt in. In order to tuck the shirt in, I had to unbutton his pants. Now, I'm looking around to see if anyone is watching me. No one seemed to notice. So there I am unbuttoning this plastic guy's pants. Very, very awkward. I got the dude all tucked in and then I had a hell of a time getting the pants buttoned back up. I almost forgot to zip him up, but thankfully I remembered. He actually looks pretty sharp now. It just seemed wrong. LOL!!! What if I had accidentally dropped his pants??? Do they put all the "details" on a manikin? I think I need to ask for the surveillance video on that one.

Woops!
...seriously, my brain had already written this blog early today and now I can't remember a damn thing I was going to write.
Love yourself. I love me! It's all about having fun and enjoying life. Does the size of your paycheck matter if you hate your job? I say I'd rather live in a box than work in a job I despise. "I'm in a box! I'm in a box!" (inside joke). And P.S. don't drunk dial or drunk text. even when you think it's funny. I still think it's funny but...just don't do it. Get someone to hide your phone from you if you have that tendency.
Friendy-Lou & I whooped it up last night in her neck of the woods. Super fun. We stayed up almost all night and I ate fried pickles at 3am. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO yummy.
So I had to do Tutoring Job this morning after our blast of a night. It's a good thing I've taught these kids to be smart because it made my job easy today as I sat there trying not to fall asleep.Oh and we determined last night that I have to hang on to Retail Job just for the fact of my being able to use it as my pick-up line: "Hi! My name is Lou. Wanna buy a suit?" (and there's a specific voice that goes with that line).
Completed week 1 of training for New Job this week. It was a bit difficult getting back into a corporate mindset and being at one job for 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. But I'm going to get smarter now tho. I'm learning all about wireless technology and I'll be able to impress you all with my jargon & acronyms. Tee hee!
I am really upset that my brain cannot remember all of the great things I wanted to write about today. Is there a machine that I can hook up to my brain and just think out my blog instead of needing to type it?

OMG...Cougar???
OMG!!! So, I started a new job this week and it consists of 18 weeks of training. Yes, I said 18. But anyway, that is not the point to my story.
So there is a class of new hires and we are all together for the 18 weeks. For some reason, one of the guys and I started talking about cougars...as in older women. Oh, I think he was talking about Sade and he referred to her as a "cougar". So I said that she's got to be older than that and then I figured I should ask him what age defines a cougar. And damn it if he didn't say 37 until 60. WTF????????????????????????? Please tell me I'm not about to become a cougar this year!!!!! I REFUSE! LMAO!!!!

Not to brag, but...
...well, ok, yes to brag!!!! Um, in November I bought a bunch of new clothes since any business casual type clothing I had (which was not much being a former preschool teacher) no longer fit me. I was swimming in what I had. So I go and buy some new ones that are two sizes smaller. A month later, I was swimming in those. So I went one size down. Well NOW, I am swimming in THOSE! Heh heh! and Damn it! I am not made of money but I do not want to wear baggy clothes!!!!! So now I need to go back and get the next size down. Hopefully that's it for me because I am now in the size I was in high school. I don't think my body could go any smaller.
I got a new iPod yesterday and I wanted to take it to the gym with me but I hadn't set it up yet. So I'm excited to take it tonight. Wooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! If you get a funky text from me, I'm just testing out my cool new gadget.
Oh and I have a funny story to tell about a customer the other day...This man comes running into the Suits department in a panic holding what looked like a suit (ended up being a tux). He's speaking Spanish. So I'm thinking, "Ok, I can figure this out and get this man what he needs!" He's telling me in Spanish that he is late for HIS wedding and left his tux shirt at home which is in Riverside. Although at first all I got was the word shirt/wedding so I'm heading toward the shirts and he starts running to the other side of the department. So he's running around the store to find the tux shirts and I'm confused because I'm thinking he's going the wrong way. Stupid me finally gets what he's trying to tell me and I find what he needs. Then he goes to the Fitting Room and gets dressed for his wedding! One of my co-workers had to help him get dressed a little. LMAO. It was hilarious. Imagine gettting ready for your wedding at a department store? Poor guy. I hope he made it to the church on time! And I was able to bust out what little Spanish I do know. :-)
Happy Hump Day! Go hump someone! j/k...or am I?

Only give away your spare shirts!
"What in the world am I talking about???", you are thinking. Ok so you should know by now that I only put so much personal information on here and the rest is told in analogies. So here's another one for you. I apologize in advance for it's awfulness. :)
How many of you have a closet full of shirts that you worked really hard to earn? Or even two or three shirts that are really important to you and you are willing to give them away to help out someone else's empty closet?
Well, I'm here to tell you to HANG ON TO THOSE SHIRTS! Only give away your shirts if you have an abundance and you can risk never getting any shirts back. There are some people out there who only care about how full their closet is and have no regard to how bad they're screwing you over when you give them your shirt. Even when they know it's your very last shirt. They just don't care. Your closet will be empty and it could take years if ever to get your closed filled back up. Just don't do it, people, trust me. Don't let the guilt of having a few valuable shirts make you feel like you have to give any of them away. Don't get me wrong, I do like to give shirts away when I have enough to spare. But I've had the habit of giving away every last shirt and then end up owing others for shirts I have to finance in order to stay clothed. The interest rate is high on those shirts.
People have given me shirts and I tell you, I'd rather live in a box when I get more shirts so that I can repay that person than leave those people shirtless. Am I wrong?
You are all picturing me shirtless now, aren't you??? LMAO.

A time to say goodbye
Today was an emotional day! We all paid our final respects to G's dad. The service was beautiful and it was followed by a fun party (a given when this family throws a party!). G's eulogy left not one dry eye in the house. I am so glad I was able to spend the last two days with my very dear friend and her family. Love you, G!

Tough Times
Hi Everyone.
These last two weeks have been quite interesting for me, but aside from that, two of the closest people to me lost their fathers due to their battle with cancer. TWO. What are the odds? My heart has been heavy for their losses. I want to sit with them and take their pain away and it is frustrating that I cannot do that. Very, very heartbreaking. It's at a time like this when we need to remember our loved ones and make sure that they know we love them. Life is precious. I tell my friends and family that I love them all of the time however I want to reiterate that right now...
To all of my dear family and friends: I love you all so much. I cherish each and every one of you and I am so grateful to have you in my life. Thank you for all of the support and listening ears you have provided me during the tough times and thank you for the great memories we have all made together.

Just when you think you have it all figured out...
...a wrench gets thrown in your plans. Or my plans, I should say. Big changes for me in the next week or so involving my career. I am happy to say that it looks most likely that I will be back in the workforce in Corporate America. YIKES! It was a tough and quick decsion. A job offer came in for me today that I was not planning on getting. I was content with Retail job and Tutoring job. Even though my monthly income is lacking. Now, I will have a new job and Retail job on the side. So another new adventure to begin soon...as long as I passed the drug test and my background check goes smoothly. ;-)
Got to see my babies today (nieces). The Pixie (a.k.a. La La) painted a bird house and put it out for the birds...too friggin cute. Pips was nice and snugly and fell asleep in my arms while I was feeding her a bottle. So precious. I want one! heh.
OOOOH! I got to video chat with my DP last night. I think we were on there for a few hours. It was so much fun to catch up with DP and talk about the hilarious times we had. I think everytime we were around each other, it was hilarious. It just couldn't not be. I ended up going thru all of my pictures and posting the pics and videos from our adventures. She better get up to my town this Sunday. SERENITY NOW! Hmm...I'll post a video for you. Keep in mind that we were not drunk during the making of the video that I'll post. Well, at least I wasn't. LMAO

What's up, Wednesday!?!?
Today was very productive. Hair, lunch with Devil and a last minute interview...well sorta. They had me waiting for so long that all I got to do is the assessments. I guess it usually takes 2 hours to complete and I finished in 1 so I waited for an hour for the girl to come back. Then she checked my scores. Typical scores on each section are 2s, 3s and 4s. I got 7s, 8s and 9s. :-p She said it's one of the highest scores she's ever seen. LOL. Well DUH! I'm SMART (or some of you might say SMART ASS) Not that I'm bragging. ha! So I go back tomorrow morning for the actual interview part. I don't know if I want the job. I am happy with what I'm doing so if I could coordinate it all together, that would be ideal. We shall see. Most annoying part was that I missed my tutoring job and now I have to squeeze it in on Friday before Retail.

Amish Heat Surge?
Have you ever seen the infomercial for the Amish Heat Surge??? Ok, the first time I saw it, I was soooo confused about the Amish selling an electrical heater. I actually had to pay attention to the infomercial to finally figure out that the MANTEL part was created by the Amish. So is there a conflict of interest if they are building a mantel for an electrical appliance? Next question. Are the Amish not allowed to look toward the camera? The Amish guy in the infomercial that is being interviewed about the mantel is turned to the side and looking off to his left. It's not the typical interview style where the person is just looking off the the side of the camera. And the way they show the people who are using the heater...they look back lovingly at the heater and smile...that KILLS me. Anytime I've used an electrical heater, the electric bill went through the roof. So I'm confused on how this Heat Surge is going to save me money on the utility bills? I'm actually more Amish than them because when it's too cold in my house, I wear a hat and scarf. ;-) Sounds like something I need to "Google".

Poop!
I know this is not a very lady-like topic but some of you know that I have been known to have poop conversation over lunch. Some of you have been part of those conversations! But when you teach preschool, poop is just a huge part of the job. So I have a question...
Why is it that when I change a poopie diaper or poopie pants I gag and dry heave yet when that poop is from one of my nieces, it doesn't bother me? Why is that????? Moms???? Why?
Not that I have that problem now since I am not teaching anymore.
Oh and if this topic made you uncomfortable you need to know that there is a book on the subject...

What day IS it???
I tell ya, this working weekends thing has me all screwed up. I don't know what the hell day it is anymore. I have to say I don't mind having daytime off during the week. This morning I went to the gym and saw Little Old Lady from Bethlehem (LOLFB) and we worked out together. That was a nice surprise until she talked me into doing the stair climber...the actual stair climber. I'm glad she got me on that. I was always scared of it. Still am a little...lol. When I got home I cleaned the house (trying to get some sort of order in my home!).
I noticed that Oreo (cat) was bleeding from her mouth but she does not let me get close enough to figure out what it is. So, I panicked! Got her to the Vet and she's all good now. It was pretty damn funny watching her get out of her kennel when she got home and she was still groggy from the meds. She was walking like a drunk cat. hahahahahah poor baby :)
Ok funny story. I was working tonight at Retail job and I had helped a customer find some pants. He went to try on a pair. While he did that I was off helping someone else find a shirt and I see the guys girlfriend go to the fitting room area and she went in his fitting room. WTF? Well, no big deal I thought until 20 mins go by and they are still in there. He only took in ONE PAIR OF PANTS. LMAO. I didn't know what to do. If I was standing over there when she walked to the room I would have stopped her, I think? I don't know. Never had that happen to me before. I was scared to check the room once they were gone. EWWWWWW! Luckily for me, they didn't leave anything behind. UGH! LOL
My week is already pretty busy, but I have to carve out some time for focusing on writing.
My Lou Friend is coming on Sunday to go out with me and my cousins. Woo Hoo!!!!!!
BTW...I will always use my friend's nicknames...it's more fun that way!

Sunday's post a bit early
OMG, I just remembered a dream I had last night. It was horrible. I had a dream that I was a teacher again and one of the parents came to pick up their child and I could smell the vodka on her breath. She was slurring her words too. So I wouldn't let her take her kid with her and she ended up in the hospital on her death bed. All of a sudden I was at a funeral with a dozen coffins and the husband of that parent was attending but his wife wasn't dead yet. He told me they were not expecting her to live and they were already having the funeral.
Is that wacky or what??? What does it mean?????????????????????????????????????
Today at work when I greeted one of the customers he told me that every time he comes into the store I'm there. He said I must work too much. LOL. I also would say hi to him more than once so it became a joke of me saying, "Hi. How are you today?" every time I walked past him.
So if selling suits does not work out for me, I can always...

Now is the time...
...for me to finish my screenplay (refer to Intro post). So this being added to my list of 2010 priorities: Family, Work, Exercise, Writing. And that is not listed in order of importance. They are all equally important. It is really helpful for me if you leave comments about my posts. This is where I get great feedback from my little audience which inspires me and helps me to organize my thoughts for the script. You can leave comments or check the boxes at the end of each post anonymously so if you don't want your name to show, no one (including me) will know who posted it. Please comment! :) As a reader you are able to witness my writing process! If that interest you...lol
Ok, I have to be at work in an hour....all day suit selling. :)
Now is the time to make my dreams come true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What are your dreams?

Couldda, Wouldda, Shouldda
Ok...before I get to rambling, I have to make a clarification. Apparently I worried a few folks when I said I got bad news yesterday after my doctor appointment. The two were unrelated. As far as I know, I do not have a life threatening illness. Some of you may beg to differ on that one! Ha! Ha!
Signs that my life is in a bit of disarray have surfaced in the last 24 hours, although I think they've been there all week, I've just now decided to look. The signs are: 1) my bedroom is a mess 2) there is a dirty cup in the sink that I put there 3) House is dusty and last but not least and maybe most significant, 4) I've eaten the equivalent of 1 meal in the past 3 days. Yesterday, I didn't eat a damn thing. I went into self-destruct mode and boy did I succeed at that! It was a little hard to put on my cheery face at work today, but Aimz and Cuz Orange D allowed me to whine to them when I was on my breaks.
My bad news yesterday: Well I'm not going to tell you because it is not something I want to share with the WWW (I'll save the real story for my movie) so I will try to explain via analogy.
I used to have experience in building fires. Sometimes I couldn't get them lit, others were great blazes and some burned for a long time. Now, it's been a very long time since I've built any fires. I thought I was ready to start building them again so I found myself building one earlier this week. Well, I thought I had it lit but found out yesterday that it was too windy and my fire blew out. But not without burning me first. And it hurt! I was so shocked by it that I tried and tried to keep it burning. Even after it burned me. I don't know why it hurt so much because I've been burned before and been okay. It is frustrating that this fire burned me. I wasn't even planning on building it. I think I tried to build a fire too soon. I should have waited for better weather and I should not have expected my first fire to burn well. Therefore, I'm out of the fire-building business for now.
Shouldda gone to the concert.
Wouldda waited to build a fire.
Couldda saved myself some grief.
Soooooooooooo glad the holidays and 2009 are over and I still hate all New Years Eves.

It's 2010!
Hope your midnight was magical...mine...not so much but 2010 is all about family, work and exercise!
Have a great New Year's Day.
Do you think anyone will be in the market for a suit today? I'll let you know. I'm off to work!
